When I was a child my mother used to get very angry when I wrote in pen on books, but I didn’t care.
I thought and I think that the pencil would have allowed someone to erase my thoughts, my ideas…
I circled images, jotted down pieces of songs written by others, collected the chronicles of some interesting day, underlined lines of poetry or incomprehensible mathematical formulas that nevertheless had a beautiful form.
At the beginning, I thought I was just doing it to annoy my mother, and that was partly true, then I realized there was something else too.
There was Blocks of four (BO4) on the horizon.
BO4 is a column with two weekly releases which consists of 4 blocks, with 4 different quotes (coming both from the supermarket flyer and from the Divine Comedy, from Neruda’s pen to the microphone of XXX temptation) a photograph taken by me, Giuseppe Alberto, and a song to help the mind fly.

Quando ero bambino mia madre si arrabbiava molto quando scrivevo a penna sui libri, ma io continuavo a farlo.
Pensavo e continuo a pesare che la matita avrebbe permesso a qualcuno i cancellare i miei pensieri, le mie idee…
Cerchiavo immagini, appuntavo pezzi di canzoni, raccoglievo le cronache di qualche giornata interessante, sottolineavo versi di poesie o formule matematiche incomprensibili che però avevano una bella forma.
Inizialmente pensavo lo facessi solamente per infastidire mia madre, e un po’ era vero, poi ho capito che c’era anche dell’altro.
C’era Blocks of four (BO4) all’orizzonte.
BO4 è una rubrica con due uscite settimanali che consiste in 4 blocchi , con 4 diverse citazioni (provenienti sia dal volantino del supermercato che dalla Divina commedia, dalla penna di Neruda al microfono di XXX tentation) una fotografia realizzata da me, Giuseppe Alberto, e una canzone per aiutare la mente a volare.
